PERU (ST. BEDE) REGIONAL The Rebels XC teams had a very good day on Saturday (Oct. 23) at the St. Bede Regional. The Girls team finished 4th in the girls race to advance to next week's Oregon Sectional and the Boys team member Alex Welch advance as an individual. This was the first time a Rebel boy has advanced to the Sectional. Scoring for the Girls were Ashley Orrick (8th - 19:43), Paige Rewerts (16th - 20:41), Keagan Hamilton (35th - 23:01), Emily Orrick (48th - 24:12) and Sarah Kraklow (52nd - 25:43). Also competing for the Girls Saturday were Katie Grinnell (62nd - 28:59) and Kokone Kasaya who was disqualified on a questionable technicality. On the boys side, Sectional qualifier Alex Welch (17th - 17:10) led the way with Colby Carroll (38th - 18:35) and Jack Winans (39th - 18:37) close behind. There were 67 finisher in the Girls race and 83 in the Boys race over the 2.85 mile course.
